First Edition of Fred Schwed's Classic Where Are the Customers' Yachts; Lengthily Inscribed by Fred Schwed and In the Rare Original Dust Jacket
SCHWED, Fred; Illustrated by Peter Arno.
Where Are the Customers’ Yachts: or A Good Hard Look at Wall Street.
New York: Simon and Schuster, 1940.
First edition of "one of the funniest books ever written about Wall Street" (The Washington Post). Octavo, original cloth, illustrated by Peter Arno. Presentation copy, lengthily inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "Really dear Virginia - Hope you don't understand a profound tome like this - I would not wish to furrow so smooth & subtle a brow. Fred Schwed Jr." Very good in the rare original dust jacket, which is in very good condition. First editions in the original dust jackets are rare, this is the first signed example we have seen.
