First edition of the second part of Cervantes' masterpiece in English. Oblong duodecimo, bound in half leather over marbled boards with gilt titles and tooling to the spine in six compartments within raised bands, black and green morocco spine labels. In near fine condition, lacking the engraved title with several words faintly missing on p. 160 [an original printing flaw], slight trimming to the bottom lines of the first signature, and a bookplate to the front pastedown. An exceptional presentation.

Duodecimo, 4 volumes, bound in full contemporary speckled calf, gilt numbers to the spine, modern morocco spine labels lettered in gilt. Translated by T. Smollett. In good condition, Japanese tissue repairs to the hinges of each volume, toning to the text block of each volume, bookplate to the front pastedown of each volume, loss to the crown of the spine of Vol. I, antiquarian ownership signature to the front pastedown of Vol. I and front free endpaper of Vol. II. Housed in a modern custom buckram slipcase.

With copper-engraved frontispiece and eight copper-engraved plates, each bearing two images. Translated by John Phillips. In very good condition with all plates present, signature trimmed. A very sharp example.

Quarto, two volumes, bound in full contemporary calf with gilt titles and ruling to the spine in seven compartments within raised gilt bands, all edges stained red, double gilt ruling to the front and rear panel. Illustrated with 27 numbered full-paged engravings in volume one and 41 numbered full-paged plates in volume two. In very good condition and neatly rebacked. Translated from the Spanish into English by Charles Jarvis. From the collection of Ken Rapoport with his bookplate to the front pastedown.
