Bernard Cornwell is an English author of historical novels who is best known for his novels about the Napoleonic Wars, which were adapted into a series of Sharpe television films that have starred Sean Bean who has won multiple wards from the Screen Actors Guild, the National Board of Review and the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
