Rare early map of Miami Beach, Florida. This map covers the important southern from the Norris Cut north to 41st St., with the Flamingo, Miami Beach and Bay Shore Golf Courses. It is a cadastral map, with the various subdivisions and lots shown. OCLC/WorldCat list only one copy of the 1947 issue, at the University of Virginia, but no copies of this much earlier and more significant edition. The map measures 19.75 inches by 36.25 inches. Framed, the entire piece measures 25 inches by 41 inches. Rare and desirable.

Rare original Delaware Evening Journal featuring the headline “Eagle Jets Safely Off Moon; In Orbit for Rendezvous”, a front page article on the Apollo 11 moon landing, and large photograph of Neil Armstrong collecting dirt on the lunar surface. Boldly signed by Neil Armstrong on his photograph. Below the headline is Armstrong’s famous quote, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Articles featured on the front page include, “Neil, Buzz Leave Prints on Moon”, “Kennedy Charged in Crash”, and “Luna 15 Lands On Moon, 500 Miles from LM.” In very good condition. Double matted and framed. The entire piece measures 29 inches by 21 inches. Rare a desirable signed by Armstrong.

Rare original photograph boldly signed by legendary aviator Amelia Earhart; with the original transmittal letter signed by her husband, George Putnam
Rare original photograph boldly signed by record-breaking aviator Amelia Earhart. Accompanied by the original typed transmittal letter signed by Amelia Earhart’s husband, George P. Putnam. Addressed to Jean Teal of Murdock, Nebraska, the letter reads: “Dear Jean: Miss Earhart has asked me to answer your note, as she herself is too busy to do much corresponding these days. Herewith we are sending you an autographed picture. The drawing you made she is keeping herself as she would like to add it to her collection. Very truly yours, G. P. Putnam.” Earhart’s husband George P. Putnam achieved fame as one of the most successful promoters of the 1930s particularly with the blockbuster publication of Charles Lindbergh’s autobiography “We” in 1927. He later offered to assist Earhart in writing the story of her flight across the Atlantic ocean which ultimately resulted in the publication of 20 Hrs., 40 Min and their marriage. Double matted and framed. The photograph measures 4.5 by 3.5 inches. The entire piece measures 13 inches by 12 inches.

Copper engraved, hand-colored map of one of the most decorative map of the Holy Land of the 17th century. One page with hand-colored borders, the map depicts the tribes of Israel and the route the Israelites took from Egypt through Sinai into Canaan. In the sea there are three sea monsters, one of which has targeted a fishing vessel. The title cartouche is guarded by two dogs, draped with fruit, and flanked by Moses inscribing the ten commandments and a Jewish high priest. In fine condition. Double matted and framed.

Rare 18th century Homann Heirs map of the Western Hemisphere. One page, the map depicts in detail North and South America as well as western portions of Europe and Africa with a large decorative cartouche. Homann’s second map of the Western Hemisphere, the present map provided new details in the interior of North America particularly along the Mississippi River. At the time of publication the Northwest coast of America and the Northwest Passage were still undiscovered. Matted and framed. The entire piece measures 31.25 inches by 29.25 inches.
