First edition of this scarce pictorial album of the views of Shanghai. Quarto, original cloth-backed flexible boards, with 38 tipped-in photographs, front stamped and lettered in red on a gilt background, mounted photo label. Introduction by Owen Mortimer Green. Later editions included 50 photographs. In very good condition with some small chips and gift inscription to the front free endpaper. Rare.
