Additionally signed beneath Rosenquist's inscription by Kenneth Tyler, the celebrated master printer whose Gemini G.E.L. and Tyler Graphics Ltd. workshops produced many of Rosenquist’s monumental prints, as well as landmark editions for Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein, David Hockney, Josef Albers, and Robert Rauschenberg. Fine in a fine dust jacket. Jacket design by Brian Sisco.
James Rosenquist was a central figure of American Pop Art, celebrated for the mural-scale paintings, most famously the room-filling F-111, in which he combined fragmented, billboard-like images drawn from advertising and consumer culture. Time Dust: Complete Graphics 1962-1992, written by the curator Constance W. Glenn and published by Rizzoli in 1993, is the catalogue raisonné of Rosenquist’s prints and multiples, produced to accompany a traveling retrospective of his graphic work that opened at the Walker Art Center. The volume takes its title from Rosenquist’s monumental print Time Dust, believed to be among the largest prints ever made.
