First edition of this children’s book written by Faulkner for Victoria Franklin, daughter of his sweetheart Estelle Oldham, whom he later married. Octavo, original cloth. The Publisher’s Note states that until the appearance of this edition only a single copy of the book existed typed and bound on varicolored paper and typed and bound by the author. This edition follows that unique copy. Fine in a near fine dust jacket with a touch of shelfwear.
