Signed limited edition of Eisenhower’s memoirs, each one of 1500 copies. Two volumes, thick octavo, original tan cloth with green morocco spine labels lettered in gilt, cartographic endpapers. One of one thousand five hundred copies of which one thousand four hundred thirty-four are numbered and signed by Dwight D. Eisenhower, both volumes are number 1006. Each volume is fine in the original acetate dust jacket which is in fine condition and in the original slipcase which is in fine condition. Scarce with both volumes sharing identical numbers, in addition to the exceptional condition of the books, acetate dust jackets, and slipcases.
This is the story of President Eisenhowers first administration. Dwight D. Eisenhower, one of the major figures of the twentieth century, writes an account of the events, as he saw them, leading up to a sweeping mandate, and then pursues the theme of change in the years 1953-1956
