One of 1000 numbered copies signed by Conan Doyle on the limitation page, this is number 142. Produced as a twelve volume set with only the first volume signed, this Author’s edition was produced out of Conan Doyle’s desire for a set of his own favorite works. In near fine condition. Bookplate.

Best known for his detective fiction featuring the character Sherlock Holmes, Scottish author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a prolific writer and touched on a wide range of topics, both fictional and non-fictional. Throughout his career Doyle published over 200 stories and articles including volumes of poetry, historical fiction, mysteries, and adventures. Set in England, France, and Spain, in the years 1366 and 1367, The White Company follows the campaign of Edward, the Black Prince to restore Peter of Castile to the throne of the Kingdom of Castile.
