Harris’s second novel to feature the character of Hannibal Lecter is “a virtual textbook on the craft of suspense” (Washington Post). It went on to win the Bram Stoker Award and is without a doubt one of the best in the genre of thriller fiction. Basis for the 1991 film, starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins won five Academy Awards.
