First edition of Roosevelt’s work on the deer family. Octavo, original green cloth with gilt titles to the spine and front panel, illustrated with 7 maps and 25 engravings including frontispiece with lettered tissue guard by Carl Rungius and others, index. In fine condition. A very nice example.

A diligent and skilled writer, Theodore Roosevelt wrote on a wide range of topics and genres, including history, autobiography, nature, hunting, memoirs, and editorials.
