Selected from Symonds' previously published "Sketches in Italy and Greece" and "Sketches and Studies in Italy", the present volume contains a collection of picturesque vignettes describing the environs of Siena, Perugia, Rimini, Ravenna, Parma, Monte Generoso, and Palermo among other idyllic Italian cities.
