Fine collection of first editions and early printings with two signed by children’s book author Raymond Briggs. Quarto, four volumes, original boards and wrappers, illustrated. The collection includes a Picture Puffin edition of The Mother Goose Treasury inscribed by the author (London: Picture Puffin, 1976), a Picture Puffin edition of Jim and the Beanstalk inscribed by the author (London: Picture Puffin, 1973), a first edition of Unlucky Wally (London: Hamish Hamilton, 1987), and a first edition of Ivor the Invisible (London, Channel 4 Books: 2001). Each volume is in near fine to fine condition.

English illustrator Raymond Briggs is best known in Britain for his 'books without words', told entirely though full color illustrations. His best-known work, The Snowman, was adapted into a twenty-six-minute animated television special in 1982, the annual screening of which has become a popular British cultural event.
