One of the world's most famous salmon fishing rivers, the Grand Cascapedia River became popular in the 1870s as a place to fish for Atlantic salmon. The first Cascapedia Club set conservation regulations limiting each member's daily catch to eight salmon and the annual catch per rod to seventy-five fish.
