First edition of Collins' fourth collection of published poems. Octavo, original half cloth. Association copy, inscribed by the author on the title page, "To Laurence and Mary Rockefeller with best wishes Billy Collins 1996." The recipients, Laurence Rockefeller were prominent an American philanthropist, financier, and major conservationist and member of the Rockefeller Family. Mary, too, was from a prominent Billings Family. The Rockefellers turned over their land in Woodstock to form Vermont's only National Park, The Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park.
