Desmond Tutu was the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 and retired as Archbishop of Cape Town, South Africa, in 1996. In Tutu’s influential book, he argues that we must highlight the mistakes of our past in order to reconcile with them. Tutu retains a sense of hopefulness about reconciliation.
