Inscribed by the author in the year of publication, “To Larry Kramer- my best to you- from the corner of 54th + 5th-Good luck with your play Philip Roth May 7, 1974.” The recipient, Larry Kramer is an American playwright and novelist. He began his career rewriting scripts while working for Columbia Pictures, which led him to London where he worked with United Artists. There he wrote the screenplay for the 1969 film Women and Love, which earned an Academy Award nomination. He has been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for his play The Destiny of Me, and is a two-time recipient of the Obie Award. Fine in a near fine dust jacket with a closed tear the front panel. A nice association.
