First edition of Il Duce’s autobiography. Octavo, original green cloth. Boldly signed by Benito Mussolini on the title page. Laid in is a letter from the Royal Consul General of Italy, to a recipient at Scribner’s, confirming that Mussolini has “autographed in recognition of your kind collaboration in the publication of the volume”, dated 2 February 1929, Illustrated. Fine in a near fine dust jacket (corner clipped with the $3.50 still present) that shows only light shelfwear.

My Autobiography by Benito Mussolini is dictated, narrative autobiography recounting the author's youth, his years as an agitator and journalist, his experiences in World War I, the formation and revolutionary struggles of the Fascist Party, the March on Rome, and his early years in power.
