Lengthily inscribed and dated by Harry Truman below the frontispiece portrait opposite the title page, “To my good friend Hon. + Mrs. W. K. Granger served as member of the Utah House of Representatives from 1932 to 1937, and serving as speaker in 1935. He then served as member of the Public Service Commission of Utah from 1937 to 1940. Harry Truman's personal diaries, private letters, papers and interviews. "Never has a President allowed such a personal revelation while still in office as President Truman has in turning over his personal diaries, memoranda and private papers to William Hillman. The book is historic and it is candid." "I want the people to know the Presidency as I have experienced it and I want them to know me as I am."
