First edition of the notable inspiration for the 1970 feature film M*A*S*H and the subsequent popular comedy-drama television series of the same name. Octavo, original half cloth. Presentation copy, inscribed by American Actor Elliot Gould on the title page, “Dear Adrienne, Thank you for the opportunity Elliott Gould.” Elliot Gould’s breakthrough role was in the film Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1969), for which he received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. The following year, he starred as Capt. Trapper John in the Robert Altman film M*A*S*H (1970), for which he received BAFTA Award and Golden Globe Award nominations. Fine in a near fine dust jacket.
