Signed by Dumas Malone on the half-title page of each volume. Each are near fine in very good to near fine price-clipped dust jackets. From the library of Charles Williamson of Williamsburg, Virginia. Exceptionally rare, we have never seen another set signed by Malone in all six volumes.
Published between 1948 and 1981, Malone’s Jefferson and His Time is a six-volume biography of American Founding Father Thomas Jefferson. Malone’s work on the series earned him the reputation as "the world's leading Jefferson scholar". For the fifth volume in the series, he was awarded the 1975 Pulitzer Prize for History.
