Octavo, original red cloth with titles to the spine in gilt, frontispiece of Vardon, tissue-guard, illustrated. Boldly inscribed by the author in the year of publication, “Harry Vardon 12 October 1912” on the verso of the frontispiece. In near fine condition, contemporary name. Books signed by the legendary golfer are rare.

Harry Vardon was a member of the Great Triumvirate of the sport in his day, along with John Henry Taylor and James Braid. He went on to win The British Open Championship a record six times and also won the U.S. Open.
