First edition of golf champion Joyce Wethered’s classic work. Octavo, original cloth, illustrated. Frontispiece portrait of Wethered after a statuette by W. Reid Dick. With a photograph of Wethered clipped from a period magazine laid in. Bookplate to the verso of the front panel. In very good condition.

Inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1975, golf champion Joyce Wethered won the British Ladies Amateur four times (1922, 1924, 1925, and 1929) and the English Ladies' champion for five consecutive years (1920–24). Golfing Memories and Methods includes chapters on wooden club play, iron club play, playing in the wind, the golfing habit and how ladies' golf has progressed.
