Every Man His Own Broker: Or, A Guide to the Stock-Exchange.

MORTIMER, Thomas.

Item Number: 95817

London: Printed for G. G. J. and J. Robinson, 1791.

Early edition of Mortimer’s early guide to the Stock-Exchange. Octavo, bound in full contemporary calf, gilt titles and tooling to the spine, red spine label, all edges speckled red, folding equation table. In near fine condition. A very nice example.

English writer Thomas Mortimer published numerous volumes on the principles of economics, commerce, politics and finance. The contents of Every Man His Own Broker were supplied by Mortimer's own experience on the Stock Exchange, where, by his own account, he lost heavily in 1756.
