Stravinsky's professional life encompassed most of the 20th century, including many of its modern classical music styles, and he influenced composers both during and after his lifetime. Included among his students were Robert Strassburg, Warren Zevon, and Robert Craft. Craft met Stravinsky in 1948, and from then until the composer's death in 1971, he worked alongside Stravinsky in a variety of roles which eventually evolved into a full artistic partnership.
