First edition of “the most perfect of all the Dickens novels” (Virginia Woolf). First issue with ‘screamed’ on p. 132, line 20. Octavo, bound in three quarters calf, gilt titles to the spine, illustrated with 40 etchings by Hablot Knight Browne, with the added engraved title dated 1850.
