Association copy, boldly inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, “For Sid – with admiration for a fellow teller-of-tales! from Ray Bradbury July 15, 1958.” The recipient, Sidney L. Stebel is an American writer, creative writing teacher, filmographer and was a personal friend of Bradbury’s. Near fine in a near fine dust jacket with a touch of rubbing. Jacket design by Robert Vickrey. Jacket photograph by Bonny Adler.

“Much of Bradbury’s work, whether in fantasy, science fiction, realistic fiction or even horror is infused with a pastoral nostalgia, and nowhere is this trait more pronounced than in Dandelion Wine. The author effectively evokes the transition of the novel’s protagonist from childhood to early adolescence” (Barron, Fantasy and Horror 7).
