First edition of this important collection of biographical accounts written by a variety of individuals responsible for the Apollo 11 spaceflight, which facilitated the first lunar landing. Quarto, original illustrated wrappers as issued. Illustrated with photographs throughout. Inscribed by Neil Armstrong on the half-title page, “To Mark – Neil Armstrong.” In very good condition with light rubbing to the extremities. Rare and desirable signed by Neil Armstrong.
On July 21, 1969, mission commander Neil Armstrong and pilot Buzz Aldrin became the first two men to walk on the moon. Armstrong and Aldrin spent two and a half hours together on the lunar surface and collected 47 pounds of lunar material to bring back to earth.
