Active in the mid 1970s, American artist Pat B. Socci gained a reputation for seeking out Hollywood icons to sign his sketched portraits. The drawing measures 8.75 inches by 11.5 inches.

Mexican-American actor Anthony Quinn starred in numerous critically acclaimed films, including The Guns of Navarone, Zorba the Greek, and Lawrence of Arabia, Quinn won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor twice: for Viva Zapata! in 1952 and Lust for Life in 1956 and he wrote two memoirs, The Original Sin (1972) and One Man Tango (1997).
