Manuscript note on an envelope, which reads, “Submitted to Gen. Halleck A. Lincoln Dec. 13, 1862.” The slip measures 2.5 inches by 3.75 inches, the entirety of the slip 2.5 inches by 8.5. inches. Double matted and framed with a portrait of Lincoln. This note was penned by Lincoln on the day of the most intense fighting at the Battle of Fredericksburg. The entire piece measures 12.75 inches by 19 inches. Rare and desirable.
