First edition of the famed suffragette’s sensational novel. Octavo, three volumes, original pictorial cloth, half-titles, vol. 1 with 20 pages of advertisements dated March 1894. In very good condition. Scarce, with no other copies traced in auction records.

Publishing as Gertrude Colmore, English writer and suffragette Gertrude Baillie-Weaver was active when the suffragettes were most militant. In 1911, she published her best-known work, Suffragette Sally, which furthered the cause of the women’s movement by gaining empathy from its readers.
