Rare original gelatin silver print photograph of General George Patton in military uniform, signed by him, "G S Patton Jr." From the collection of Colonel Nicholas Campanole, Patton's Assistant Chief of Staff, with a collection of typed letters and postcards addressed to him. Colonel Nicholas Campanole was aide to Gen. John J. Pershing during the Mexican campaign of 1914 and served on his staff during World War I. Physically retired in 1937, Gen. George Patton recalled him to active duty in 1942 and he remained with Patton as assistant chief of staff throughout World War II. In very good condition.

The Coronas Alhambra cigar is mounted in a shadowbox opening and is still stored in a cellophane sheath printed in gold lettering: “Specially Made For President Kennedy.” Under its red and gold label and black band inscribed “Choicest Philippine Tobacco Sumatra Wrapper." In the early 1920s, Gandhi expanded his nonviolent non-co-operation platform to include the swadeshi policy – the boycott of foreign-made goods, especially British goods. Linked to this was his advocacy that khadi (homespun cloth) be worn by all Indians instead of British-made textiles. Gandhi exhorted Indian men and women, rich or poor, to spend time each day spinning khadi in support of the independence movement. In good condition. Matted.
