Early printing of Eleanor H. Porter’s classic of children’s literature. Octavo, original publisher’s cloth, engraved frontispiece with tissue guard. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, “With all glad wishes from Pollyanna – Eleanor H. Porter June 1915.” Additionally with the recipient’s ownership signature in pencil who has made a note of provenance, “Eleanor J. Stone autographed at Mrs. James Hartner’s Garden Party 1915.” In very good condition with toning to the spine.
