From the library of Elizabeth Paepcke, with her signature in pencil to the front free endpaper. Paepcke, along with her husband Walter were philanthropists best noted for founding the Aspen Institute and the Aspen Skiing Company in the early 1950s, both of which helped transform the town of Aspen, Colorado into an international resort destination and popularize the sport of skiing in the United States. Housed in a custom half morocco clamshell box. Rare and desirable, especially in this condition and with noted provenance.
