Octavo, original stiff wrappers with gilt Great Seal of the United States to the front panel. Signed on the front panel by Yitzhak Rabin (Prime Minister of Israel) and Gad Yaacobi (Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations); signed on the title page by Samuel R. (Sandy) Berger (National Security Advisor to President Clinton); Aharan Barak (President of the Supreme Court of Israel) and Elie Wiesel (writer, activist, Nobel Prize winner); and signed throughout the text by Maya Angelou (writer, poet); Shimon Peres (Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, faded); William H. (Bill) Gray III (U.S. member of Congress from Pennsylvania); Cyrus (Cy) Vance Jr. (American Secretary of State); Andrew Young (American diplomat and politician); Andrey Kozyrev (Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation); Abba Eban (Israeli diplomat and politician); Peter Max (artist, commissioned by the White House to paint a piece commemorating the event); Gordon Parks (photographer, film director, activist), and six others. Color photograph taken during the the signing of the Oslo II Accords of Bill Clinton, Yasser Arafat, Yitzhak Rabin and King Hussein of Jordan and Hosni Mubarak on the White House lawn, signed by Clinton, Arafat and Faisal Husseini. On September 28, 1995, the Israeli-Palestinian Interim Agreement on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip was signed in Washington, D.C. This agreement, which marks the conclusion of the first stage in negotiations between Israel and the PLO, incorporates and superseded the Gaza-Jericho and early empowerment agreements. The entire piece measures 17 inches by 13 inches. Rare and desirable signed by Clinton, Arafat and Hussein.

First edition in English of the memoirs of Yitzhak Rabin. Octavo, original cloth, illustrated with sixteen pages of photographs and five maps. Association copy, inscribed by the author on the half-title in the year of publication, “To Lord Peart with great respect Y. Rabin 7.12.79.” The recipient Fred Peart was a British Labour politician who served in the Labour governments of the 1960s and 1970s and was a candidate for Deputy Leader of the Party. In 1976, Peart was created a life peer serving as Leader of the House of Lords and Lord Privy Seal at a time when the Labour faction in the Lords was tiny compared to the vast Tory majority, mainly composed of hereditary peers. After Margaret Thatcher won the 1979 election, Peart continued as Leader of the Labour Peers and thus became Shadow Leader of the House of Lords. He served in those roles until 1982. Fine in a near fine dust jacket.
