Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, “For Anne Bass John Steinbeck.” The recipient was part of the production team at the Viking Press, where Steinbeck signed this copy upon publication in 1939. Fine in a near fine dust jacket with light wear to the spine crown. Housed in a half morocco clamshell box.
